Zawadzki didn't share the specific reason for his decision to take a break from the service, but his comments suggest that his Twitter hiatus is related to harassment over issues plaguing Cyberpunk 2077.

'Need to turn off Twitter for a couple of days. There are some lines you simply don't cross,' Zawadzki tweeted over the weekend, on December 12. 'Take care folks and be good to each other.'

— Andrzej Zawadzki (@ZawAndy) December 12, 2020Cyberpunk 2077 was, of course, one of the most anticipated games to come out this year, and it has not lived up to many gamers' expectations, to put it mildly, particularly on the last-gen consoles. With reports of bugs, frame rate and visual issues hampering the game over the weekend, it's likely that Twitter users inundated Zawadski's feed with nasty messages and possibly even threats.
It wouldn't be the first time that Zawadzki has had to deal with 'fans' singling him or his colleagues out and harassing them over something they didn't like about Cyberpunk 2077. In late October, Zawadzki took to Twitter after it was announced that the game was being delayed for a third time, to what ended up being its final release date of December 10.

'I want to address one thing in regards of the @CyberpunkGame delay. I understand you're feeling angry, disappointed and want to voice your opinion about it. However, sending death threats to the developers is absolutely unacceptable and just wrong. We are people, just like you,' Zawadzki wrote on October 28.
Zawadzki went a step further and posted some messages that the developers had received after the game's delay was announced.
This is one of the mildest messages some of us got. There were far, FAR worse. Every single one is being reported. We will not let it go through.
Do not treat it lightly. Do not ignore it. It is serious.

— Andrzej Zawadzki (@ZawAndy) October 28, 2020Now, with the less-than-stellar launch of Cyberpunk 2077, it wouldn't be far-fetched to presume that the developers are receiving similar sorts of messages from people.
Newsweek reached out to CD Projekt Red for comment and will update if a statement is provided.
The online vitriol surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 isn't just relegated to the developers, though. GameSpot and its reviewer caught flack for giving the new title a 7-out-of-10 review rating. A writer with GameInformer also received backlash for publishing a piece that said the game could be triggering for people prone to epileptic seizures, and that she suffered at least 'one major seizure' while playing.

Since the game's launch, CD Projekt Red has acknowledged the game's shortcomings—especially on PS4 and Xbox One. The studio recently issued an apology and, while asking for patience for patches to be implemented, told gamers that they can receive refunds from the PlayStation and Microsoft stores.
CD Projekt Red released the 1.04 patch on Friday to resolve some of the issues and two more 'big' patches are expected in January and February, respectively.
Cyberpunk 2077 launched to mostly positive reviews from critics though the game's underwhelming performance on all systems has been a matter of concern for many. Kindle software mac. Console fans are especially disappointed by the plethora of game-breaking issues that plague the game and haven't been fixed yet. Many have taken to social media to show their frustrations and as it seems, got 'Cyberbug2077' to trend on Twitter.
The performance of Cyberpunk 2077 on base PS4 and Xbox One is not looking good. The game's frame rate often dip down to 20 or lower and the resolution flickers between 720 to 900p, making it look like a PS3/Xbox 360 game at times. The scarcity of PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in the market means that most console players have had to experience this highly anticipated game on their seven years old systems. However, people playing the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version of the game have experienced their own set of issues including frequent crashes, texture pop-ins, and more.

Players have been extremely vocal on social media platforms regarding Cyberpunk 2077's current situation. While it started off as a serious affair, many fans are now making fun of the game and its various flaws. And hence they got 'Cyberbug2077' trending on Twitter. While it's not clear how started, it seems to be the norm at the moment. Twitter user 'Shoutgun' posted two pictures, one of which is of Johnny Silverhand from the cinematic trailer and the other represents an in-game shot that shows a half-rendered NPC, saying that he feels like playing a PS2 game.

Another user 'legendary sparrow' compared the game with No Man's Sky, which also had a rough launch back in 2016. Similarly, user Alex Monroe compared Cyberpunk 2077 with last year's WWE 2K20, saying that both games were not meant to release when they did. While user 'Lettuce Lord Chanclas' seemed optimistic, saying that he did not care about the bugs and that the game is beautiful.

— lapinoutheking (@lapinoutheking) December 12, 2020While Cyberpunk 2077 does look inexplicably gorgeous on a high-end PC, it's no excuse that its console counterpart looks like a Nintendo Switch port, as the game was targeting current-gen consoles from the beginning. The lack of a proper next-gen upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S at the moment also adds to the growing number of problems for console users. While CD Projekt Red has released a hotfix for PC and PS4, that fixes over 15 quests, as well as other tweaks in the performance and visual department, it's still far from a perfect game. Moreover, Xbox users have yet to receive a hot-fix, which CD Projekt confirmed is working on right now.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with a free upgrade coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021.
